The Isle of Lewis is the largest island of the Western Isles or Outer Hebrides archipelago and the most populated. The main town on the Isle of Lewis is Stornoway, with a population is around 9,000 it's the largest town in the Western Isles, actually it's the only town in the Western Isles.  Here you will find pubs, galleries, cinema, shops and supermarkets.  Stornoway also has a ferry terminal and an airport, see our information on how to get to the islands.
